Highlander had launched a new underwater acoustic beacon with part number HLD-ULD 601. This Acoustic beacon is valid for all models of VDR. It is inline with our vision to provide better quality control on product supply chain to ensure the highest quality performance of our products. With the introduction of the acoustic beacon, it will prevent the replacement of acoustic beacon replacement which are not approved.
It is mandatory for all certified and authorized APT service agents to replace the expiring acoustic beacons with the abovementioned acoustic beacon with effect from 1st May 2019. The APT service engineer is required to take photograph of the installed new acoustic beacon for submission together with the APT results for our review. Certificate of Conformance will be issued only with the replacement of the approved acoustic beacon. All other makes and types of acoustic beacon will not be accepted.
