Next week, the grandiose biennial shipping event “Marintec China 2017” will once again open in Shanghai. For four days, 5-6-7-8 December, the main players of the maritime industry – ship operators, ship builders, equipment suppliers, seaport operators, ship brokers, insurers, journalists and mariners themselves – will convene at the huge Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) in Pudong where for four days they can engage in intensive exchange of ideas and try to bolster their positions in the industry. As is well known, China sits at the uppermost rung of the World’s shipbuilding countries and is steadily producing more and more of the new ship content. Essentially every piece of equipment that goes into a modern seagoing vessel is now designed and made in China. Highlander is one of the protagonists of this new shipbuilding reality.
In this edition of Marintec China Highlander will show off, in a 150 square-meter stand (number 4A11 W4) its ever expanding range of navigation electronics and ship automation systems. There will also be maritime domain awareness systems on display.
